Before we begin further, let’s discuss what a CDS portal is. To improve efficiency and modernise itself, ICAI has introduced a portal that provides students with study and related materials. It is a Centralised Distribution System and can be accessed at icai-cds.org. The CDS portal was developed to ensure that every enrolled study receives the latest and right study material at their doorstep, which helps to save time and effort.

CDS feature for Foundation course students-
Students registered for the Foundation course will get one coupon to place their order for Study Material CA Foundation against registration. The coupon provided to order CA foundation study material issued by ICAI will be valid only for four months from registration.
Students can redeem the coupon to order ICAI Study Material CA Foundation by visiting www.icai-cds.org. Students do not have to pay extra fees or charges for study materials or couriers. The coupon allotted is valid for one-time only; if they want to place another order, they must pay courier charges. It is advisable to order a complete set of CA Foundation Study Materials. Once a student has placed their study material order on the portal, they will receive it in 12 working days from the dispatch date.

Students must complete their registration to download CA foundation study material through the CDS portal. Students can start their preparation instantly after completing their registration for the foundation level. They can download ICAI Foundation Study Material 2023 from the BoS portal through the following steps.
Visit the official website of ICAI. Upon page loading, bring the cursor to the “Students” tab and click “Bo’s knowledge portal” from the drop-down list.
Click “Study Material” under the New Scheme of Education and Training.
On a new page, you will see a list of CA courses. Click on “Foundation Course.” A new page will appear with 04 papers listed. Select the paper you want CA Foundation Study Material for. You will see chapter-wise topics. Click on any topic to download the study material.
